There are few people who look forward to the yearly maintenance of a deck, especially a 20 year old 700sqft deck that takes up your entire back yard. The goal of this project was to "take back the yard" with a clean modern look that was zero maintenance and functional for years to come. During the initial construction and inspection of this project, a major issue was discovered that lead to a new opportunity and beautify outcome. Initial water damage and leak in the roof was discovered to be caused by massive termite damage to the "bones" of the 3 season room attached to the main house and needed to be completely overhauled. The modern Hardie Board material was used to now match the garage and give the backyard a new look. Fiberon or composite deck system was installed to remove the maintenance of having to the stain the deck. A new permeable paver patio system was installed to to allow for water runoff to be absorbed onsite. The existing fence also needed to come out and two new gates needed to be installed. Cedar boards with steel posts complemented the modern feel of the new backyard. The project wouldn't be complete without a new gas line connection for an existing grill and brand new sod. This was truly a complete backyard renovation.
